When our own troubles seem too much to bear, it is easy to start questioning God as to why this is happening. Why is He letting the pain go on and on? Why doesn't He heal me? Why doesn't He just get rid of our enemies? Why doesn't He just fix things right now? But when you look at the lives of many Bible characters, we can see that God is patient and His timing is perfect. For instance, think how Joseph must have felt betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused and thrown into prison. Now, no one would blame him if he got angry and felt like God had forsaken him. However, Joseph trusted God. He stayed faithful and his reward was great. Instead of asking God why? Ask for strength. Instead of wallowing in despair, have faith. Instead of doubting, trust. God loves you. Gave his only son to die on a cross to save you, and is looking forward to eternity with you in heaven. Be patient. It is worth the wait.

Isaiah 30:18 KJV - And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD [is] a God of judgment: blessed [are] all they that wait for him.

Exodus 14:14 KJV - The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Lamentations 3:25 KJV - The LORD [is] good unto them that wait for him, to the soul [that] seeketh him.
