How much do you love God? Many Christians claim to love Him with all their heart and soul, but their actions speak differently. They would never consider getting actively involved, like taking a church office, helping out at the local food bank, or even going on a mission trip. No, they are quite satisfied to love the Lord just going to church once a week and then going about their weekly routine until time to go to church again the next week. Week after week, turns into year after year until they are ready for retirement and their bodies are too weak to give service to anyone. Sadly, too many are blindly going through the motions of being a christian and truly do not realize that they are not connected to our Savior. Going to church will not save anyone. We need to know our Savior, and the more we get to know Jesus, the more we love Him and want to serve Him. We need to wake up from our spiritual slumber and allow God to use us however He wants to use us. Ask yourself the questions: Do I love Jesus so much that I am willing to give of my time, my finances, and my whole heart? Do I love Him more than my comfortable lifestyle? More than my career? More than financial success? Honestly, examine your heart and answer the question that Jesus asked Peter, do you love Me more than these?
