Too often when we pray, we are anxiously waiting for the answer that we want. In fact, we demand it. But we can't expect God to always answer our prayers just the way we want Him to, as if we were ordering something from the internet. What we can expect is that God will always answer. Our prayers do not fall on deaf ears, you can count on that. Jesus not only hears and answers our prayers, but He loves us so much that His answers are always with our best interest in mind. He wants us to be happy and longs to give us the desires of our hearts. God knows the end from the beginning and looks at the big picture, He sees what we cannot. Often in our short sightedness we make demands on God, but if He gave us what we wanted, it wouldn't be the best for us or make us happy, it may even be disastrous. We need to trust God for the answers, our God is faithful and trustworthy. He loves us so much that he is preparing our hearts for heaven, and has promised to return to earth, to take us home, to live with Him forever. What a glorious day that will be. I'm homesick for heaven, aren't you?

Proverbs 3:5 KJV - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Philippians 4:6-7 KJV - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
