When it comes to daily devotions and “alone time” with God - we tell ourselves there is simply not enough time in our day. But if we’re really honest, “we have the time,” - but we just choose to do other things! Everyone has the same hours in a day but we all make different choices as to what we do in those hours. Most often, we choose to spend our time doing all the things that are most important to us! Trying to balance all the demands of our busy lives can be exhausting, but oh how sad that almost everything else takes precedence over spending time with our Creator, God, King of the Universe! We tell ourselves that “tomorrow,” we’ll make time - but tomorrow never comes! Whenever we lose sight of “who” God is and what He has done for us, we lose our desire and motivation to spend time with Him. When someone is “really” important to us - we “make” time for them - and so it is with God! The more we love Him, the deeper our desire to be close to him, and reading the Bible and praying - becomes precious time that we guard fiercely. God wants us to love Him so much, that we long for time in His presence! When we truly fall in love with Jesus, spending time with Him won’t be something we feel we “have to do,” but rather something that we look forward to and count it a privilege to communicate directly with our Lord and Savior!

Psalm 29:2 KJV - Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Hebrews 4:16 KJV - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1 John 4:12 KJV - No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
