Planning is good. In fact, we are counseled to plan for the future, but live each day as if it were our last. But in making our plans, we need to recognize that even the best plans are subject to change. We should make out our agendas and set our priorities remembering to surrender all plans to God. Then, with a willing heart, we can take a hold of God's hand and go where He leads. When we belong to Christ, He lives within us and gives us a renewed way of thinking. So we need to remember to allow the Holy Spirit to lead instead of stubbornly storming ahead with our own personal agendas. Proverbs 16:9 says, “The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps”. Set aside quiet time with God each day, and take time to listen to His voice. Be assured that He will direct our every step when we allow Him to be our travel guide.
