The Bible is filled with good advice about how to get along with others. In Ephesians 4:2 we're told “Be completely humble and gentle. Be patient, bearing with one another in love”. In other words, don't scream and holler, lose your temper when things don't go your way or be puffed up with pride thinking that you are better than someone else. Be quick to praise and slow to criticize. Remember that the basis for every authentic and meaningful relationship, is love. All throughout Scripture, God's message is all about the love. In Corinthians 13, verses 4-8, we are given the description about what real love is “Love is patient, love is kind; it does not envy; it does not boast; it is not proud; it does not dishonor others. It is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails”. And in John 15:12, the message is clear “My command is this: love each other as I have loved you”. This world would be such a better place if we would just learn to love like Jesus loves. Just imagine living in a world without hate, where people would love each other regardless of skin color, whether rich or poor or what country they were born in. All God's children are beautiful and He loves each one just the same. Start changing the world today by loving like Jesus loves and stomp out hatred one ember at a time.
