Oh! What a better world this would be if we loved each other more and judged each other less. We often overlook our own sins, but expect everyone else to be perfect. Even if we are not so bold to confront someone with their sin, we judge them in our hearts, or worse, talk about it with others. We have no idea how sad this makes our Heavenly Father. We are all sinners who have come short of the glory of God, and the Bible tells us that one sin is not any better than any other sin. Sin is sin. We all want grace and mercy, and in fact, pray for it fervently but few are willing to extend that same grace and mercy to others. We can be harsh, cruel judges, convicting others before knowing all the facts. Ask God to put more love in your heart today. Ask Him to fill you up so that His love is overflowing to everyone you meet. Leave the judging to God. Remember that Jesus loves each of us so much He can't imagine heaven without us. And yes, that means your enemies too.
Romans 2:1-3 KJV - Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
James 1:26 KJV - If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion [is] vain.
Proverbs 31:8-9 KJV - Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
Romans 12:16-18 KJV - [Be] of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
