Jesus understands loneliness. When He was in the garden of Gethsemane, preparing to face the most difficult and painful time of His life, He needed and wanted the support of His closest friends. But where were His disciples when He needed them the most? Sleeping. His support and comfort was His heavenly Father. Praise God that He is our Father too, He loves us with an everlasting love. When our days seem darkest and we feel all alone, reach out to Jesus. He will place His comforting arms around us and hold us close. He is always there for us. When you see a friend, loved one, or even a stranger who seems lonely, be a friend. Reach out to them and introduce them to your best friend, Jesus. Let them know that He longs to be their best friend too. He is the bright, shining light at the end of the tunnel. Jesus is the only cure for loneliness.
Isaiah 41:10 KJV - Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 KJV - Two [are] better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him [that is] alone when he falleth; for [he hath] not another to help him up.
1 Peter 4:8-10 KJV - And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
