Being a Christian means being Christlike all the time, not just once a week at church, although sometimes we forget that. It's important to remember that Christianity starts at home. How we treat our family can be the biggest challenge of all. Most people try to act polite and kind, to strangers, co-workers, or acquaintances because they know it's bad manners not to do so, but oftentimes our family is not treated with as much kindness and respect. Maybe it's because we expect family to love us no matter what. So they become a safe place to show our real feelings. How sad this makes our Heavenly Father. If we treated our family with love, tenderness, and genuine kindness, our homes would be a whole lot happier. To live a daily Christian life requires a close relationship with God, allowing Him to live through you. With God, all things are possible, even treating family with love and respect.
