In today's world, everyone is focused on beauty and trying to look younger. A tremendous amount of money is spent on makeup, hair products, clothes, etc. Now, there's nothing wrong with wanting to look good, but when it becomes your highest priority and all the attention is on self, then it becomes a problem. Your priorities are out of balance. Real beauty comes from within. Now there's nothing more beautiful than the light of Jesus shining on the face of a christian, because God's beauty shines through on even the plainest outward appearance. I love that song “Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, all are precious in His sight”. It doesn't matter what physical attributes we have, the color of our skin, or the size of our bank account; we are all beautiful when we allow Jesus into our hearts and lives. The Bible says in Proverbs 31: 30 “Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised”. Sooner or later, even the most gorgeous beauty queen will lose her good looks, her flawless skin will grow wrinkled and old. We need to concern ourselves with inner beauty by growing closer to Jesus each day, because God's beauty lasts for eternity.
1 Peter 3:3-4 KJV - Whose adorning let it not be that outward [adorning] of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But [let it be] the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, [even the ornament] of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
Philippians 4:8 KJV - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
Proverbs 31:30 KJV - Favour [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain: [but] a woman [that] feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
