The secret to having a “happy life,” is to stay close to our Best Friend, Jesus. No matter what trials we are facing-we don’t have to get all stressed out because we are never alone – Jesus is with us at all times! So many people dream of the day when they will finally be happy-when they reach financial success, when their children graduate from college, when they finally take that dream vacation, and so on. They spend so much time fantasizing– that they have let their whole life pass by in a meaningless state, living their lives just “waiting to be happy.” But God wants us to be happy now! Instead of daydreaming our lives away – we need to embrace today and live in the “now!” God wants us to live each day as if it were our last, but plan for the future. Now that doesn’t mean planning all the details of our lives out, but rather trusting God to do amazing things through us. Planning is different than living in a fantasy world! God is not a fantasy – He is very real and He alone knows our future.
Philippians 4:4, 12 KJV - Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice. ... I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Psalm 16:9, 11 KJV - Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. ... Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence [is] fulness of joy; at thy right hand [there are] pleasures for evermore.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJV - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
