When life seems too much to bear and everything looks dark and dreary, walk by faith, not by sight. Take each step with confidence in God, rather than by your own feelings. Pray for the gift of self-control to keep you from falling into the pit of depression, fear, and darkness. Above all, don't give in to satan's lies. He wants you to believe you have no friends, life is useless, you're a failure, you don't matter, but don't allow the enemy to consume even one second of your thoughts. You do matter to Jesus and He is your best friend. He longs to heal your heart and give you His gift of joy. Love for God and your commitment to Him is not based on feelings. So when you have a down day, keep moving ahead one step at a time and push the devil away. Your Lord and Savior stands ready to help you choose self-control. Keep your thoughts on Jesus and believe in Him, for He believes in you.

Joshua 24:15 KJV - And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
