God values integrity. He wants us to stand up for what we believe, no matter the cost. The dictionary describes integrity as adherence to moral and ethical principles, soundness of moral character. But what does integrity mean to you? Someone with integrity is usually described as decent, good, honest, moral, righteous, virtuous, and incorruptible. Is it any wonder God places so high a value on integrity? Many people exhibit qualities of these high characteristics until something happens to rock their world. All of a sudden when the chips are down, they make compromises they wouldn't normally make. It becomes easier to justify a dishonest business deal, telling a little white lie, cheating on taxes or not standing up for what they believe. Justifying bad behavior is a dangerous slippery slope. We can easily rationalize ourselves right into hell. That's why it is so important to stay close to Jesus. No matter the circumstance or darkest hour you may be facing. Be courageous and allow your heart to influence your actions. Pray for strength to be firm in your convictions, no matter the cost. God will give you the strength to be a person of integrity.

Proverbs 21:3 KJV - To do justice and judgment [is] more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Philippians 4:8 KJV - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.
